A few Syrian Pound coins managed to save a young man from certain death when they created semi-shield to protect him from a bullet.
Wissam Fahad, 23, told SANA he was walking on the street when the bullet penetrated his pocket, puncturing the coins inside, but without injuring him.
Medical sources said that the coins in the young man's pocket prevented the injury, with the bullet penetrating the coins, piercing them altogether and preventing the bullet from entering the young man's chest.
Fahad is now in good health.
