The National Coordination Commission Calls for a Truce during the Eid

The truce will be the first step toward preparing the proper environment for a political solution

The branch of the National Coordination Commission in exile has called for a truce during the Eid holiday.

The NCC called upon the regime and the rebel groups to halt any hostility or armed act during the holy days of Haj, and agree on a truce “to honor Syrian life.”

The NCC also called on all “the forces that believe in the human values of the Syrian people” to allow international relief and humanitarian organizations to have access to the “besieged area in order to deliver foods and medications, and to facilitate the exit of the wounded in those areas under the umbrella of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.”

The statement added that the truce will be the first step toward preparing the proper environment for a political solution in preparation for holding Geneva 2 talks.
