The General Authority for Development will play an important role at the reconsruction stage in Syria, director of the authority Ahmad Khalil has said.
Khalil said that the authority is still working to help develop small and medium-sized enterprises and assist entrepreneurs through the training, rehabilitation and empowerment programs.
He said the authority is also working on cooperation with financial establishments, especially banks, to fund these projects, saying that already 11 banks were assisting.
"There will be cooperation with non-governmental organizations for the development of micro-enterprises with the aim of involving civil society in the process of economic and social development," the director said.
