Syrian Coalition Discusses Amending Bylaws

The Syrian Coalition is holding a series of meetings to discuss amendments to its bylaws “to reach a coherent and solid constitution that governs the regulation of the Coalition".

The discussion of the amendments will be done outside the General Assembly, which will eventually review the outcome of the discussions to make the final decisions.

The meetings will also discuss the relationship between the interim government and the Syrian Coalition to avoid overlapping functions of each body that have begun to surface recently. It is vital to accurately determine the legal and functional characterization of each.

It will be emphasized that the Ministry of Defense and Foreign Affairs does not follow the structure of the interim government, but is a separate body and directly linked to the Syrian Coalition as the only political body that incorporates all the political spectra.
