Regime Confiscates Assets of Syrian Diplomats

One of the diplomats works in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Syrian Ministry of Finance signed a resolution Monday confiscating all moveable and non-moveable assets of two diplomats.

One of the diplomats works in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has got a diplomatic passport, while the other has resigned from the same ministry. The seizure included three car traders accused of smuggling cars.

Pro-regime al-Watan newspaper said the diplomats involved are M. B. al-Imadi, M. A. A. ad-Dahab, while the cars traders were W. al-Haw, A. A. Taleb and M. R. at-Tawil. The resolution accused them of smuggling cars through the Free Zone in Adra.

The custody came in order to ensure the rights of the public treasury to impose fees and fines on smuggled goods.
