Regime Forces Arrest Women to Ensure Return of Fallen Soldiers

Syrian regime rounds up women in attempt to strike a deal with rebel fighters

After repeatedly failing to seize areas under the control of opposition factions in the northern countryside of Homs, regime forces have resorted to using unconventional means to turn the heat on opposition forces.

Al-Souria correspondent Yaroub ad-Dali reported the arrest of a group of women from opposition-held areas in order to trade them for the bodies of dead regime soldiers.

Ad-Dali added that regime forces kidnapped a group of 10 women at the Tel Omari checkpoint in the northern countryside of Homs as they were attempting to flee the Russian bombing on their neighborhoods.
