A pharmacist and his wife were shot dead by Turkish soldiers while trying to cross the border illegally, opposition activists in the countryside of Idleb reported.
The activists reported that Mustafa Sabiyah was killed along with his wife this morning, despite calls for civilians to stop crossing the border illegally.
Turkish authorities have closed border crossings with Syria in February without clarifying the reasons, but news sources have suggested the closure was for security reasons.
