Syrian army units and Lebanese Hezbollah forces expanded their control over Zabadani city, siezing the main crossing to Madaya after inflicting heavy losses upon opposition forces in the area.
Army units also advanced towards al-Kahraba roundabout and al-Huda Mosque, eliminating a number of rebel units attempting to infiltrate al-Sultani neighborhood, while air force raids targeted rebel hideouts, destroying two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns.
In Aleppo, army units overran the Nusra Front and other rebel faction positions in the neighborhoods of al-Rashidin, al-Aziziyeh, Bani Zeid, Bab al-Hadid, al-Lairamoun, al-Shaar, al-Halk, al-Kastilo, al-Maysar, and the Aleppo’s Old City.
