Iran to Command Assad Forces in Southern Syria

Following successive defeats, Iran's Qassem Soleimani set to command regime force into battle in southern Syria

Iran to Command Assad Forces in Southern Syria

Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, has arrived in the south of Syria to manage the battle Iran has dubbed the “Martyrs of Quneitra", a source revealed to Siraj Press.

The source noted that all the military forces in southern Syria, without exception, are now under the command of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, amid a state of confusion and lack of confidence among the regime’s officers.

Rebels had captured a number of Iranian militias on Monday in the western countryside of Daraa, while others were killed when regime forces attempted to storm liberated towns in the province.

Regime media channels have already begun a mass campaign regarding a major battle, while a large number of Iranian forces, Hezbollah and Shiite militias have been mobilized to compensate for the abject failure of Assad's Army in Horan.
