Tourism Minister Bishr Yazigi met with members of the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce and Chamber of Industry on Saturday. The minister assured members the upcoming reconstruction stage will have considerable work and investment prospects in the tourism sector, with the ministry preparing plans to revitalize the sector.
During the meeting, Aleppo Governor Mohammad Marwan Olabi invited future economic activities in Aleppo to evaluate the state of the tourism and economic sectors in the province.
Calling for the issuing of special legislations to encourage economic growth in the province, Chamber of Industry chief Fares al-Shihabi noted that 400 facilities are now operational in the Sheikh Najjar industrial zone, along with a further 80 percent of facilities in al-Arqoub industrial area.
