Fatima Needs Treatment, Hopes Normal Childhood

Fatima is just one of the countless Syrian children who have suffered for life changing injuries and now need urgent medical care writes Zaman al-Wasl.

Fatima, a 11-year-old displaced girl hopes she can get treatment for her burns, like every burned child in the war-torn country.

Fatima’s doctor, Yusuf Sheikhouni, says she needs surgery on her hands, eyes and ears, as well as a silicon mask and an artificial hair transplant. 

Activists urge international organisations to help Fatima who is a victim of the Syrian regime bombing.

The Syrian conflict has devastated the lives of a generation of young people. Many of Syria’s children have missed years of their education, with 2.1 million children in Syria currently out of school, according to Save The Children organisation.
