The regime and Hezbollah launched a broad attack on Al-Qusayr from the Lebanese borders Sunday, raising fears about civilian casualties.
Activists described a bombardment by Hezbollah from Lebanese regions, while the Lebanese Army looked on without response, saying the Lebanese Army is deliberately avoiding the missile bases bombarding Qusayr.
The activists denied reports the regime and Hezbollah forces have entered the town, warning of "slaying and burnings" if their militias come in. They pointed out that such massacres have precedent, saying that the army enters, accompanied by huge firepower, followed by militias from Hezbollah and members of the People's Committees to terrify the population.
