The investigating judge in the Terrorism Court has summoned Mouaz Khatib, accusing him of terrorism charges.
Khatib is accused of terrorist actions, support and finance of terrorism and plotting against Syria.
The charges carry a maximum penalty of death.
The judge has issued a summons for the court and is expected to specify a date for the hearing after Eid al-Fitr.
