FSA Chief Warns of Fake Book

The rebel Joint Chiefs of Staff issued a statement on Sunday denying any association with a book, published and widely circulated among rebels and activists that attacked the performance of Free Syrian Army (FSA) battalions.

''It's a forged book that seeks to undermine rebel morale,'' the statement said.

"The information is totally fake. The purpose of it is just to create rifts among rebels fighting Bashar Assad."

The Chiefs of Staff commended all efforts made by FSA fighters, adding that that all Assad's malicious ways have become obvious.

''Let's not deviate from our path," the statement said.

In related development, a rebel commander was arrested in the city Raqqa after publishing an article criticizing all rebel battalions and rebel brigades. He was later released, according to the Britain-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory.
