National Defense Forces Recruit 400 Members in Hama

Recruits will substitute troops fighting in northern countryside

The Syrian regime has recruited 400 militants to join National Defence Forces units in Hama city to substitute troops fighting in northern countryside, the Hama Media Center revealed.

The 400 youths were recruited from the surrounding villages, mostly from the Alawite sect, activists from the Hama center said.

Sources said the new militants will follow an intensive training course by the regime army and be deployed after that through the checkpoints surrounding the city, in order to give a hand for Baath battalions and pro-regime militia, which control Hama city center, including the university and educational institutions.
