Defense Minister Fahd Jassem al-Freij stressed that the Syria’s army had managed to stand firm in the face of takfiri terrorism and colonial projects targeting the region, offering great examples in sacrifice and heroism that will be remembered by generations to come.
Syria’s army has succeeded in confronting all who sought to tamper with the country’s sovereignty, minister Freij told Syrian TV on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Syrian Arab Army.
Freij added that the American-Zionist project had failed thanks to the steadfastness of the Syria’s armed forces.
The minister stressed that the armed forces have protected Syria’s sovereignty and independence and played a prominent role in protecting Syria’s territory and the dignity of its people.
