Minor Earthquake Recorded on Outskirts of Palmyra

4.4 magnitude quake hits north of Palmyra, according to National Center for Earthquakes

A minor earthquake shook the outskirts of Palmyra, Homs province, on Monday, according to Syria’s center for monitoring systemic activity.

In a statement, the National Center for Earthquakes said that the quake, which recorded 4.4 on the Richter scale 18 km north of the archeological city, hit at 12:14 pm local time.
