The future of the region will be drawn by those who stood in the face of terrorism to protect their own countries and independence, President Bashar al-Assad told a visiting Iranian delegation on Thursday.
The Syrian president’s comments came during a meeting with Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi and an accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Assad and Boroujerdi exchanged views on regional and international developments and their impact on the situation in Syria.
