Industry Minister Ahmad al-Hamo met with a Chinese delegation to discuss investment opportunities for companies wishing to work and invest in Syria and participate in the reconstruction of the country’s industrial sector.

The minister briefed delegates from the Chinese-Arab Friendship Association on opportunities to invest in the cement, glass, solar and other renewable energies, and pharmaceuticals industries, as well as raw materials.

For their part, the visiting delegation stressed the keenness of Chinese companies to begin investing and contributing to the rehabilitation of Syria’s industrial sector.

Delegates said that the objective of the visit was to convey the true image about investment opportunities available in Syria to Chinese companies, as well as to provide lists of projects, investment guarantees and policies of support with regards to the reconstruction phase.
