Re-Opening Nasib Crossing Positively the Economy

The Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister has hailed the opening of the Nasib Border Crossing and hopes that all crossings will soon be opened reports SANA.

Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Ayman Sousan, expressed Syria’s relief that the re-opening of Nasib Border Crossing with Jordan is being reflected positively at the popular and economic levels.

In a press statement, Sousan hoped that all border crossings would re-open, which will serve the interests of the region.

He said that re-opening the border crossing represents a return to normality, as the closure was an exceptional situation imposed by the presence of terrorist groups at that region.

“Re-opening the Nasib Border Crossing fulfils the aspirations of Syria and Jordan and activating the transit movement between the two countries paves the way for the flow of goods.”

Susan continued, “Syria has not previously closed the door. This was not a hostile act, but rather because Syria was facing hostility.”

He clarified that some adopted a different approach and finally realized that what has happened does not help us gather as a nation, adding that the Arab dimension is the main compass of the Syrian policy.
