300 US-Trained Fighters Prepare for Deployment to Front Lines Against ISIS

Hundreds of fighters tasked with combatting ISIS will enter the eastern province of Deir-ez-Zor ater this month, sources reveal

US-trained Syrian ground troops are preparing to deploy to the countryside of Deir-ez-Zor in an effort to repel Islamic State militants from the province, exclusive sources have revealed to Madar al-Youm.

The sources noted that at least 300 soldiers, backed by local Free Syrian Army forces, are expected to arrive in the area by the end of November.

The supporting Syrian units would not be linked to Syrian Democratic Forces, the sources said, noting that this force will be equipped with weapons, ammunition and other military equipment to accomplish progress in coordination with the US-led international coalition against ISIS.
