Daraa Rocket Attacks Claim 20, Inflict Severe Material Damage

Emergency services remain on high-alert after rocket attacks targeted hospitals and utility networks in Daraa city

Life is gradually returning to normal for residents of Daraa after a series of terrorist attacks rocked the city over the past few days.

Terrorists blocked supply routes to the city, targeting residential neighborhoods and the National Hospital with mortar fire last Thursday, claiming the lives of at least 20 civilians.

Maintenance and repair workshops are working to fix damages to water, electricity and communications networks while bakeries have also reopened.

Emergency and ambulance services are also on high-alert following the attacks, with Daraa Hospital having relocated equipment to a nearby medical facility after it was directly targeted. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent, Daraa Branch, and al-Birr Charity for Social Services continue to provide relief baskets and flour bags to those in need.
